Triple-lip seal contacts the stainless steel flinger, not the shaft or inner ring. It maitains positive seal contact even under misalignment.
The grease in CX bearing purges depending on the speed of application. As the RPM’s increse this seal allows the excess grease to excape helping the bearing run cooler.

SEAL

The seal lip rubs against the shaft which leads to damage to the shafting.  Reduced seal contact can also occur when there is misalignment.
The SN&SAF housing has a larger void meaning more grease is needed. The seal design of the SN&SAF housing does not allow excess grease to purge easily meaning that it continually runs at a higher temperature.

CROSSLOC™ with Long adapter sleeve
Maximum holding power through full-length sleeve contact.

LOCKING STYLE

Adapter with a Short adapter sleeve.
Reduced shaft contact length.

LUBRICANT

User must purchase and pack grease.
Requires four times more grease than CXSN&SAF because SN&SAF has a larger void.

Lower total cost of ownership

Initial purchase and installation costs are only part of the savings. Longer bearing life, reduced maintenance, and less downtime deliver even greater long-term value.
